Managing Inflammation and Dehydration

Updated: Aug 3, 2022

In the last post, I covered the importance of drinking enough water. Expanding on that, let's look at how drinking more water can reduce inflammation.

In this context, I am not speaking about inflammation as a result of trauma. This type of inflammation is that found within the body in the fluids and organs. Chronic inflammation is now being linked to many chronic diseases.

A simple way to start to lower inflammation is by drinking enough water. To increase the healing potential, add 1-2 tablespoons of fresh squeezed lemon juice or organic apple cider vinegar to your morning and evening glass of water. Both the juice and vinegar help release oxygen into the body, thus altering the ph value to more alkaline.

It is here that the body can heal better and utilize the available oxygen better. For more information, check out The Food Philosopher.
